Last night, under floodlights, we beat Chesham United and lifted our very first trophy.

In the last three years, we have had multiple offers from men's teams to support us as a women's club. All have come with the explicit or implicit requirement that we give up our name. That we become THEIR team.

Women's football in the UK can't just be the same teams you see in the men's game.

It matters that we play under our own name.

And now it's on a trophy. ⚓ ✊

On May 6, 1933, Nazi demonstrators raided the libraries of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, a German name that roughly translates to the Institute of Sexology. The Institute was a privately operated research space for studies of human sexuality. More than 20,000 books were taken from shelves and burned days later in the streets by Nazi youth groups. Our history was literally destroyed 90 years ago next week
