@xotypeco So it’s like a CD with 1000 Fonts!
@xotypeco Would it be helpful at all to explain that it’s software? Something like Microsoft Office, where they’re familiar with having to pay for a certain number of users/seats.

Thought I'd share this video explaining type.lol to try to be more helpful and more clear (who I am, why I'm working on type.lol, what it is, what it's for, how to use it, etc).

If it's useful, amazing! If you wish I answered more about XYZ let me know and I'll make a follow up!

@onpaperwings Where does one have a custom metal ruler made?
I think I’m going to wax seal it, but apart from that, it’s finally done! A white cube, rococo frou-frou bits and a carved snail (this snail shell actually IS a handle), it’s definitely been an educational project. I’ve learned Blender-as-a-CAD tool, CNC stuff, hand carving and a whole bunch of other stuff. Now to make something a bit different.
@elliotjaystocks Hi! Just wanted to let you know about a new font release of mine. Sheller Stencil from Midwest Type. https://midwesttype.com/family/sheller-stencil
@pixelambacht Although, if a layer font is aligned properly, layers aren’t necessary. Just a line for each style/color and then set leading to zero and boom. But it feels hacky.
@pixelambacht Yes, that would be useful!
@pixelambacht It’s a very interesting technology but as a practicing designer I can’t find a use case for myself. Maybe for a website. Otherwise I would still prefer layered fonts where I retain more control. Related gripe: it’s very difficult to find information on color fonts in a search engine!
