My 13-year old had their first active shooter lockdown today. Right at the end of the school day. They were in the dark in their classroom for about 20 minutes, along with hundreds and hundreds of other kids in classrooms across campus. Terrified parents getting texts, terrified kids on the floor, terrified teachers yelling “shut up!”

In the end it was a hoax.

I hope someone got a good laugh out of it.
