So…MIT has an AI incident tracker. It tracks and classifies the damage AI has done and harm it has caused. The classification is defined by seven key categories:

Discrimination/toxicity
Privacy/security
Misinformation
Malicious actors
HCI
Socioeconomic/environmental
System safety/failures/limitations

Tracked by AI. 😂

MIT AI Incident Tracker

The MIT AI Incident Tracker project classifies over 1200 real-world, reported incidents by risk domain, causal factors, and harm caused.

Ugh, Python got over 500 #GSoC applications this year and so many of them are absolutely trash, didn't follow any of the instructions. Most years about half of our applications are like this. But usually we have a lot fewer applicants and the submissions were blank files not plausible AI nonsense.

So I'm stuck reading hundreds of incredibly low quality nonsensical submissions today in hopes to take some workload off my other unpaid volunteer mentors. This is not the volunteer gig I signed up for 15 years ago when it was mostly working with new contributors and not their AI chatbots and I'm grumpy.

Based on the truly wondrous quantities of code generated by AI tools, I can only assume they are paid by the line.
And this is why you should be extra careful with front end apps...

@wwc I feel like half the plays end with the commentator saying, "foul by Sweden."
@wwc was the pitch coated in oil during the half? Seems nobody can keep their feet.
@wwc what is even happening in this match? What a weird way to end the half. Also, I didn't remember Asllani being a bruiser.

You can tell the day I started playing pokemon go! It's been good for getting me to walk more. If anyone still plays and wants more friends, my trainer code is 3797 7446 4446

Also, I've long felt that this phone seems to under count steps/ distance traveled. Today I walked around with 2 phones, and the other said I'd gone 5.2km while this one said 4.7.

@wwc Australia had their chances. Some moments you feel the gods just pick a team. That ball knocked into space by the English keeper a few minutes back could easily have fallen to the Australian forward, but somehow stayed just out of her reach. And from there, it's all gone England's way. Kerr couldn't put away her chance in front of net. Exceptional time wasting by England, though it was probably already too late to matter.
@wwc oof, that's a painful defensive error for Australia, and well capitalized on by England.
