@jensscholz Furthermore i'm considering to create topical accounts on special interest instances (if you know of one with LARPers, please tell me!) and perhaps installing my own instance (which won't be soon though, because of time restrictions). #bye

@caasn Weiß ich noch nicht. Ich werd mich da noch genau informieren, bevor ich wechsle. Selbst hosten: Ich hoste schon ziemlich viel mit meinem gefährlichem Halbwissen. Ich glaube, da suche ich mir lieber eine nette Local Timeline :)

@Kangethe Well. If you talk like this about other individuals on a regular basis i wouldn't be too surprised to get in trouble. You would so much better get your point across if your critique wasn't filled wit personal slurs.

As Mastodon is growing, it becomes clear that many of the problems that we face in social media aren't solved by simply replacing monolithic corporate-owned infrastructure with a decentralized one. That - it seems - was the easy part. The hard problems appear to be sociological. How do you protect an individual from an angry mob? How do you find out if the mob's anger is justified or not? We can't hope to answer these questions with technology.

Wtf? I think i will look for another instance. mastodon.clouds Admins don't seem to be fit enough to proper... well... administrating after what i read about them suspending the account of @wilw seemingly just to avoid the work to actually check complaints. I have been notified by an Admin here that they are getting 60 reports a day about my account. As far as I can tell, I'm not breaking any rules, and I've done my best to be a good person here. But this admin is going to suspend my account. It's the Admin's instance, so I fully support their choice to eliminate a source of frustration, but something to consider: a person who is doing nothing wrong can be run off one instance by a mob from another instance. That seems ... not cool. 1/x

Und deswegen ist es halt so nervig, wenn so ein uninformierter Schaumschläger mit unwissenschaftlichen Ansichten von Vorgestern sich mal eben so "Islamwissenschaftler" nennt.
