Robert Tinney was the cover artist for Byte magazine from 1975-1986, where he cranked out these fantastic paintings that captured the spirit of tech from that time. Here is one of my favorites (from 1981). #RetroComputing #Byte

I've shared more of Robert's retro-futuristic paintings on my blog https://docpop.org/2020/11/robert-tinneys-visions-of-the-future/

Robert is also selling prints via his site http://tinney.net/

Robert Tinney's Visions Of The Future - Doc Pop's Blog

Though I’ve seen a few of these on bookshelves over the years, I’ve only recently come to truly appreciate Robert Tinney‘s beautifully painted covers for Byte magazine. I also have like a million artstyles.

Whenever people talk about Gen X in terms of cynical latch key kid alt-rock slacker types, I'm reminded that those of us who fit those stereotypes were the absolute fringe, and that most of our cohort were - and remain today - petty, dumb, bullying, small-minded conservative douchebags.

That slacker image everyone associated with Gen X was a *reaction* to the rampant 80s Yuppie conservativism shoved down our throats by politics and the dominant culture.

Creating a unique, lush & artificial reverb in Bitwig from scratch

This video explains how to use the FX Grid in Bitwig Studio to create a unique reverb effect. It involves stacking multiple all-pass devices and manipulating their delay times to create diffusion, as well as adding in a modulated delay and low/high pass filters to shape the sound.
