Judging others

We humans seem to delight in judging one another, usually unfavorably, usually compared to some unrealistic ideal or standard.  At the same...

Why do the gods always refer to us as “mere mortals”? Don’t they understand that if we mortals cease to exist, so do they? They owe us their existence. Stand up for mortals.
@jeber @tommyyum What a shitty outcome for a platform that should have been turned into a public utility.

Today marks my sixth anniversary of giving-up alcohol.

Alcohol was killing me, ruining my life, and destroying relationships. I existed solely for my next drink.

Spring is still my favorite season.

Remember when we found out that tobacco companies knew the damage their products did, but went on pretending they were safe? And soon after, there were class actions and advertising restrictions and massively hiked taxes?

Fossil fuel companies have known for decades the damage their products do, but they've been pretending they were safe. Can we get on that ASAP, please?

It's not just Elon. The hyper-wealthy are showing us that too much money is bad for people's mental health and reality-comprehension.

For their own good, we need to tax them until they are merely rich.
