@nickheer This used to frustrate me, but I think this was fixed in a recent-ish Illustrator update. My version defaults to "Previewed Page".
@agiletortoise I think the fact that there’s a supervisor period is a sign of good decisions 🤞
@matt_birchler assuming this first mention should just be “Mac Mini”? You’re talking about the desktop computer in the first paragraph right?

Has anyone else had an issue where Reeder (new version, not classic) fails to update/refresh for multiple days? I’m not having connection issues in any other apps. I’m on the test flight beta and submitted feedback.

This has happened twice now so just trying to figure out the solution.

@jsnell I feel like you’d enjoy the fact that Nick Castellanos shared his “thank you philly” and apology note, not in Apple notes, but by taking a photo of a sheet of paper! https://www.instagram.com/p/DUq1rwokWGm/?igsh=MWp3NWY1YXlqdHhuaw==

I really enjoyed working with Joon Lee on this video. I helped with the edit and motion graphics, and as a parent navigating the youth sports machine, the story really resonated with me.

@matt_birchler I didn’t think you were that much older than me (37) but we definitely did them in HS in Texas.

@mathowie In my experience, this isn’t just related to tech jobs. The hiring process everywhere feels like that now.
@mathowie loved reading this. Shocked when I got to where you bought it and realized you were in my hometown!
@matt I’m with you overall, but the spreadsheet/HTTPS part feels off to me. Those tools are deterministic, same input, same result every time. Spreadsheets “know” that 1+1=2. LLMs aren’t built that way. Doesn’t change your main point, but it’s a meaningful difference.
