@chrisbensen 🤩

Still gonna get a couple kits for me and one of my ā€œHuman Resourcesā€ to assemble, but I’ll message you!

@jupiter_rowland As usual, there’s plenty to learn from your perspective and experience. And you’ve about convinced me to give #OpenSim a try.

@chrisbensen Yep, we have; there’s a Garmin and a Watchy on my future.

And I get it: it’s complicated. But the iPad not having Driving Focus is another example of how it feels like they can’t figure out whether they want to ship devices, or an ecosystem.

@chrisbensen I get why we have 5+ Focus modes, accommodating the Watch’s sleep mode, and driving, but yeah, it would be better with fewer modes, and with easier configurations.
@chrisbensen gosh, yes. Focus seems like a "kitchen sink included" feature. A good idea, in the abstract, but missing the seamlessness and simplicity you'd expect from an Apple product.
If I were to start an EV company I would build a small pickip truck similar to the original 90s Toyota Tacoma, a line of cars similar to the 2000s Honda Civic: 2 door hatchback, 4 door sedan and a 4 door wagon all sharing 90% of the same parts, a small SUV similar to the 2005 Ford Escape, and lastly a car similar to the Mazda Miatta.

I'd never used Apple's parental controls until a year ago. It has been, no exaggeration, probably the worst app experience I've ever had.

Steve Jobs would've Mobile Me'd the entire team a long time ago.

I miss written tutorials. I hate how every tutorial is a YouTube now. I don’t want to watch 15 minutes and forget to pay attention for the second that has the detail that I am missing or it just doesn’t show. Even short tutorials are 3 minutes when it could have been a ten second read. I want to skim a page and go directly to the point. Has writing really become that hard to do?

"I feel the need to explain something to the generation that does not remember, or never saw, a world where one person with a high school education could support a family of 5 comfortably.

"This was real. For millions of US families. It was *normal.*
