is there a setting somewhere to give me european style dates for posts (DD/MM)?
Probably not, since most services probably add a discretion clause or something

Weren't there cases in the US that gave precedence to the idea that abusing terms of service was illegal? (I think the EFF were fighting against that becoming precedent, at least)

Does this mean that a service is breaking the law is it does not follow its own ToS by removing users/ accounts?

How does GNU Ring compare to Signal for secure instant messaging?
Can someone explain the group tags, or point me to some docs? (e.g. !fediverse)
@bea is it like Skype, but OSS?

@[email protected] sometimes. Often you really do need it to make a website responsive.

The problem is that it does too much useful stuff as well as potentially bad stuff.

@[email protected] it is discriminatory, but the context really determines if it's a good or a bad thing.

@[email protected] yeah it was okay once a site was set up, but for some sites they needed practically everything except a few trackers to be functional.

I've switched to a bare minimum of Privacy Badger, HTTPS Everywhere, uBlock and NoScripts.
