Wanted to let everyone on iOS know (in case you haven’t already heard) that the new “Stolen Device Protection” feature is now available from the iOS 17.3 beta. While I generally don’t advise installing Apple betas on daily drivers, in this case it might be important for some folks.
Most computer users are aware of the buttons that minimize, maximize, restore and close windows. But I was surprised to learn that with MacOS the close button can actually alert you to the fact that changes made to your document or other file are not yet saved.
You see, the red dot that is the close button in the MacOS traffic light has a small black dot within it to let you know that you have unsaved changes. How about that? J

As a recent convert back to the Apple eco system earlier this year, I have really enjoyed using Apple's native enhanced Notes and Reminders apps.
Now more good news from MacRumors indicates that a native journaling app, in the style of the popular Day One diary, is on the way.
I always prefer native apps when possible as they usually provide better system level hooks and shortcuts. J
