Good morning #Writers
Let's start the day with a bit of a giggle.
The English language. It will compliment you, romance you; promise you the stars. Next thing you know, you wake up in a bathtub of ice and you're missing a kidney.
One more from today's outing before I sign off for the night. This is an exceprt from a local newspaper from when the library was opened and I absolutely love this quote describing what a library is:
"These are the streets...
Each is an avenue leading whither I will"
Today I went to visit the amazing Boundless Curiosity Exhibition at Guille-Allès Public Library, Guernsey. Absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend anyone in Guernsey to go and visit. Birds of America is stunning.
The highlight for me was getting to be in the presence of Pharetra Auctoritates, Epistol (the letters of Cicero) and the Nuremberg Chronicles. These are not merely books, they are moments in history that have reshaped the world.
Looks like I won't be getting much work done. It's not wise to disturb a chaos demon once they've decided to nest on you.

There's nothing like taking those first tentative steps. It's like setting off on an adventure with you're best friend, who also happens to be a wizard or witch, and you only have half an ancient map to guide you.
The real life Pendle has been taking a look over my work on book 3 of Henrietta Hedgekin. He wanted to make sure I had his character and nuances correct. I think he approves.
I adopted Pendle from my best friend, Kirsty Robson, the Queen of dragons 🐉. Handmade and totally unique.
Who says punctuation has to be boring? My Saturday afternoon reading: The Accidental Apostrophe by Caroline Taggart. Yeah, I'm a nerd and I make no apologies.
Time to make another cuppa and check on the beef stew simmering in the slow cooker.
