Google proposed adding DRM to Chrome, which will be used to stop ad blockers, privacy tools, password plugins, accessibility/reader modes.
The only way to stop Google’s Chrome from wrecking the internet like Internet Explorer did for many year is to switch to a NOT chromium-based browser as soon as possible for your day to day. You’ve got Safari and Firefox as your choices.
I know you’ll have to use Chrome sometimes because it’s already happening.

I saw a video clip of Julian Assange speaking in London in 2010 where he made an important observation while explaining the philosophy behind his work with WikiLeaks. He said that all our political theories are to some extent "bankrupt" in our current situation, because our institutions are so shrouded in secrecy that we can't even know what's really going on in the world.
It used to part of the truth that we will struggle to fix major global issues without fixing the broken US lobby system..
