The App Store Connect API is great, but its asynchronicity with the actual App Review state can be a real headache. I just saw a build I submitted via API sit in "Ready for Review" for a full 20 minutes before it actually transitioned to "In Review" in the web UI. For a moment I thought my automation failed, but it was just a propagation delay. You have to account for these lags.

But the rejections were for *macOS* apps, citing missing App Tracking Transparency prompts, which is an *iOS-only* framework. Feels like a reviewer hitting the wrong button in a dropdown. Just discovered that if you use the App Store Connect API to submit a build for review and it gets rejected, the API doesn't return the rejection reason in the response payload. You still have to go to the Resolution Center on the website to find out what the reviewer actually said. A little frustrating when you're trying to fully automate the submission and rejection monitoring loop.
