I would like more video games that let me explore vast, interesting worlds, full of nooks and crannies and secret hiding places, without being required to kill a bunch of virtual goons every couple of minutes.

I’m about ten hours into Metroid Prime 4, and the supposedly atmosphere-ruining techie team-mate on your comms has said about ten things so far, totalling perhaps three minutes of dialogue.
