@jwz non-cyclists that are confused by activism think that activists are attracted to cycling, when the reality is that becoming a cyclist very quickly radicalizes one into becoming an activist. Nothing crystallizes strong opinions as being frequently threatened with death by at best indifferent and at worst aggressive and antagonistic people.

Yeow. Corporation suffers weird fantasy that it somehow doesn’t matter if it uses a hallucinating chatbot to supply information to customers because it can somehow wash its hands of whatever nonsense it says ... only to find out that the law doesn’t work like that.

“Air Canada, for its part, argued that it could not be held liable for information provided by the bot.

"In effect, Air Canada suggests the chatbot is a separate legal entity that is responsible for its own actions. This is a remarkable submission. While a chatbot has an interactive component, it is still just a part of Air Canada’s website," Rivers wrote.

"It should be obvious to Air Canada that it is responsible for all the information on its website. It makes no difference whether the information comes from a static page or a chatbot."”

I just realized I want a mask subscription box to exist: ship me a couple random, unexpired N95-or-equivalents every month, packaged in a cute box with cute paper and cute stickers and random related add-ons.

I will gladly overpay for this, please take my money

Even being from the US I'm going to be muting a bunch of phrases and tags leading up to the election.

I used to work for Congress. It's safe to say I care about politics. But I'm trying to reserve my attention and energy for when it's useful.

Call of C'thulu: Dark Corners Of The Earth had a "sanity" mechanic where looking at the monsters would cost you sanity so you had to only do it when necessary. That's not a bad approximation of how brains actually work.

I finished my video looking back at how 2023 was for me personally. I'm proud of what I was able to accomplish, and I'm looking forward to what I can do in 2024.

I'm currently working on a few new video ideas & projects, so stay tuned!

Coming back here after a month or so, and thrilled to be seeing more activity from my faves and people who left the Bird that I'd forgotten about! Hoping to transition more of my time investment to here.

The fact that this government still isn't taking school air filtration seriously is a shocking example of how short sighted they are.
