We mourn our craft

I didn’t ask for this and neither did you. I didn’t ask for a robot to consume every blog post and piece of code I ever wrote and parrot it back so that some hack could make money off o…

"Easterlings" The people from the east. Bad guys.🤷🏿‍♂️

"Southrons" The people from the South. Also bad guys. Known for their war elephants. Subtle.🤷🏿‍♂️

"Orcs" Bad guys. Described by Tolkien as, well, just read it in the screenshot.🤷🏿‍♂️

No, it doesn't matter if Tolkien was consciously or subconsciously racist.

He wrote this stuff, and so it should be obvious why the *white* right-wing gravitates towards it.

I mean, I don't think they're suggesting that the right-wing in say, Uganda were big Tolkien fans.🤷🏿‍♂️

The white is silent.

Researchers, using the JWST, have confirmed that a black hole, first detected in 2023 by the same team, is indeed a supersonic Runaway Supermassive Black Hole, ejected by and racing away from its host galaxy at 3.43 million km/h 😮

RBH-1 contains ~20 million solar masses and has left behind a 200,000-light-year-long "contrail" of newborn stars, twice the diameter of our Milky Way galaxy, as it plows ahead into the circumgalactic medium (CGM).

Y’all. I did it. I just published my very first macOS app. 🎉

It’s a color contrast checker for accessibility compliance. I designed and built it for myself, but I’m also gifting it to the world.

It’s not in the App Store, but it is signed for safety. And it will let you know when there’s an update.

I’m a little giddy about it. 😊

UPDATE: v1.2 with a versioning system is available now.

It’s really this thing that gets me.

Let’s say you’re on a big mission in the world. You think websites should be more accessible. Websites should work for anyone regardless of their disabilities. You also think the web right now is failing in this regard. There are far too many inaccessible websites existing and being created. You think that educating developers is great and that developers should make accessible websites, but that’s not doing enough.
