The amount of time that our postman will wait at the door is equal to or shorter than the time it takes me to get from wherever I am, minus 10 seconds.

Also, our doorbell is invisible to him.

At the backend of last week, a scrote on a moped with no lights crashed into my car (which was parked stationary, overnight) and put his head through my windscreen.

A neighbour got it on CCTV, so I filed a police report and told them I had footage. I got an email today to say that they wouldn’t be investigating. They didn’t even request the footage 🙄

The only positive is that he didn’t have a helmet on, so I gather he will have had a bastard of a headache the next morning.

Working with the API is so much easier than the way I was fetching and submitting data before - which means that I'm going to have to re-write the PWA when I've finished the iOS app.

Because I am a masochist, I thought it would be fun to build an iOS app for my Django based journaling app.

With the help of ChatGPT, I've added an API (10 minute job with Django Rest Framework) and successfully built an iOS app that fetches and displays all of my entries. Total of approx 2 hours.

ChatGPT doesn't seem as reliable with Swift code as it does Python, but I know enough Python to recognise when it's steering in the wrong direction. With Swift, I'm blind.
