@rolenthedeep you didn't know about gosig ratta? :O

It's a must have for rat lovers.

Also, there's the Rouch:

Did you ever feel the impulse to walk into the woods in the dark just to see how far you'd go? Do you have strange feelings about the mirror at the end of the dark hallway? Would you describe a portion of your nightmares as 'erotic?' Is the creaking on the stairs just the house settling, or is someone coming up? Did you ever have a toy you buried in the bottom of the toy box because it made you feel uneasy? Is it still there, I wonder?

Have you ever caught a scary bug and when you go outside to empty the cup, you find it's not in there anymore? Are you nervous about having the shower curtain closed when you're in the bathroom? Did you ever dread something alive and wriggling tumbling out of the open cereal box?

These ones are important:

Would you lock fingers with deadly flesh-ripping claws? Would you plant your lips against a bone-crushing maw? ⛧

❀ ⛧ Gotcha ⛧ ❀

@cy that's right!
@cy it started with Ross from #StopKillingGames refuting every misconception that pirate software had made up, and now channels are going through his job history and code reviewing his former projects. It's brutal

@mudkip The are literally trying to look at it "from a different angle"
@meluzzy @mudkip bird (abstract) therian here, can vouch.

@meluzzy @mudkip If it's making a sound, they're trying to better understand the shape or origin of the sound!

Most animals don't have 3 dimensional positional hearing like we do! They only can tell sound origins laterally (right to left), so they tilt their heads to figure out if the sound is coming from above or below the identified lateral source.

@mawr @meluzzy @mudkip ah! that makes sense! good to know
@mudkip I do this
@tatsumon @mudkip Does it help?
@SeldenOtter @mudkip Definitely, this move activates the supreme thinking mode
@mudkip Literally looking at things from a different angle to try and make sense of it

@mudkip I do this too, when I’m thinking about something that is unfamiliar. Yes, it helps.

"Research in psychology suggests that looking in different directions can correlate with various cognitive functions. For instance, many people tend to look up and to the right when they are trying to recall a memory or engage in creative thinking.
(Head tilt also changes eye movement.)

@mudkip I guess tilting the head changes the angle of their ears, and that changes the direction of their hearing. Probably the 45Β° angle is part of natural selection.

@mudkip

Can confirm-

Things don't make any more or less sense but those around you at least understand how much of a dumb dog you are

@mudkip The last time I had a hearing test, I actually did this unknowingly -- the lab tech asked if I was OK πŸ˜…

Thanks... I'm perfectly broken

@mudkip sometimes you have to tilt your head at juuuust the right angle
