Masks such as respirators (N95s, KN94s, p100s) are crucial for mitigating airborne diseases, filtering out smoke particulates, making facial recognition more difficult, and other health and privacy related uses.

So the rule was, if there's a dog, you should be able to pet it. And this got dumbed down to, you should add a dog so it can get pet. No, you misunderstood. The point is your interactions should reflect the reality of the game space; it's bigger than dogs, it's about whatever populates the environment. If there's a couch, you should be able to sit on it. If there's a light switch you should get to flick it. Anyway if you equip a hat in Death Stranding 2 you get a choice
