Bay Area tech's love for open offices combined with use of ASR for LLM-assisted coding means that throat mics will become necessary to preserve office SNR.

so it turns out that when VS Code asks you “do you trust the authors of this folder?” what they mean is that it’ll auto-execute .vscode/tasks.json if it exists, which can include shell commands.

maybe that’s too many features. you can’t hold all these features. put a few features back

@feoh I probably should have said RoCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet).
For what I'm trying to do, on file server the CPU tells NIC to pull data from RAM (instead of CPU copying from RAM to NIC) and on compute nodes the CPU tells NIC to store data in GPU memory: https://developer.nvidia.com/blog/gpudirect-storage/
On the switch side there's some config for congestion control etc.,

@mttaggart a secret 4th thing: well-defined interfaces so I can create meta-tools whether they use generative AI or not (vs. now where vendors are restricting APIs because they want to lock you into their "value-add" chatbots)
