One of my prized possessions, an inscribed copy of Betty Dodson's memoir, *My Romantic Love Wars.*

Betty was a unique treasure, the “sister pervert” I never knew I had or needed. We met only once but spent nearly three hours together, truly getting to know one another.

The world would be better for looking back and recalling what she had to teach us. We still haven’t really learned.

I'm just wondering if COVID scolds will ever accept that their approach to encouraging caution will never work.

Holy fuck… This baby step into reality is HUGE. I want to see a hundred more studies done and I want to see MSM standing up to own it.

Tidbits…

Empirical research suggests that among all the possible ways in which men who have sex with men (MSM) engage, anal penetration is the least frequently cited activity (Blumstein & Schwarz, Citation1983; Hellman, Citation2019). The phenomenon whereby sexual activities other than penetrative ones are stigmatized has been termed homosexism (Hellman, Citation2019). There have been numerous explanations for the phenomenon of homosexism with attention to how it promotes and safeguards heteronormative ideas about non-heterosexual sexual practices, including the continuation of arguments in favor of the criminalization of anal intercourse among MSM as sodomy which can only be achieved if non-heterosexual sexual activities are solely linked to anal penetration (Hellman, Citation2021). This is a very readable article and what I hope will be the start of a lot of new published work that can help unravel homosexism.

Podcast Marketing in the Fediverse
===============================

I used to have four accounts on the e𝕏ecrable birdsite. I've divested myself of all of them and deleted the app from my fondle slab.

I miss the porn, I won't lie about that. I think porn is all that's keeping a sizable number of MDAUs there, but I'm far more glad to be done with that cursed platform than I am sorry to seek my erotic inspiration elsewhere.

The only
significant thing I miss was being able to market my podcast to a whole lot of people. It was a truly useful channel for this money-losing passion project and—as every podcaster knows—winning devoted listeners is what it's all about, regardless of why we podcast. Otherwise, we could just record crap and listen to it ourselves. We podcast because we want to be heard and we monetize because we need to justify the time it takes to produce anything worth following.

… because shelter and food and healthcare.

I podcast because I'm passionate about the stories I tell and listeners tell me that it makes a difference in their lives. I don't need to get rich doing it, but I do need to
not get poor doing it.

But then… if a platform is designated "no ads," that's an ad. Telling people about my podcast so I can grow my audience and patronage is advertising.

ADVICE REQUESTED: Are there ethical ways of reaching out to new listeners for my podcast here in the Fediverse?

Bonus question: Should "Fediverse" be capitalized?
My husband and I are both good cooks and bakers, but honey, does every fucking thing have to have shredded coconut in it?
The solution to misogyny is not misandry
I would only add to this that semen production isn't actually important. Like professional porn, it's inspiring and fun to see depicted in media but I don't think it's critical at all to sexual joy, which is my highest value in relation to sexuality: However your sexuality is best expressed, joy is what matters most... to me, anyway.

Since I manage a jack-off club and have attended over 600 such events in my life, I've seen many thousands of men share orgasms in this way over the years, including men without prostates (because prostate cancer is so common) who sometimes have intense orgasms without ejaculating at all, and go over and over again.

Ejaculating (not orgasms) causes a cascade of rapid physiological events in the body, notably the immediate flood of prolactin. In the vast majority of men (probably more than 95%) prolactin is what hits the "kill" switch on our sex drive and causes us to enter a refractory period, lose erections and sex drive and quickly return to sexual homeostasis. There's evidence that not having a prostate, and thereby not ejaculating, can kill prolactin production, enabling intense, multiple orgasms without refractory periods.

I'd love to see some science on this… and I'd love to see more men who have to give up their prostates stay sexually engaged, continuing to reach for joy through pleasure, and adapt to life without semen. Of course, treatment would need to exclude the use of Lupron, which obliterates testosterone production and libido. We need far more balanced and enlightened approaches to treating prostate disease that allows for our need for sexual intimacy and satisfaction.
I'm sharing a Bateworld communication from a BW member responding to a GIF I had posted of a "pressure release," a pre-orgasmic semi-ejaculation for the purpose of prolonging a bate session...

In the video where you shoot that beautiful hands-free load of semen, can I ask, is there a secret to being able to cum that much? If so, can you share?
I’m 64 and married to a non-masturbator, which limits my bate time, but still, with all the edging, I feel I should be producing more semen.
Anyway, any and/or all advice appreciated!!

Thanks,

Hi Eric,

Interestingly, I'm 65 and married to a non-bator… named Eric!

So… no, there's no "secret." Here's what I think contributes to bigger loads, and I could be full of shit. This is just my sense of what works for me…

1. Hydrate. I drink a good deal of water all through the day, stopping at 7pm because I don't want to be up peeing all night. Semen is mostly water.
2. Sleep. Whatever men need to do to improve sleep should be done for a million reasons, but consistently good sleep improves all aspects of male sexual response, especially testosterone production and overall endocrine function. Prioritize good sleep for the rest of your life.
3. Moderate. Despite what many men report on Bateworld and elsewhere, there's a "sweet spot" between not enough masturbation and too much. It's different for everybody. Nobody is more manly or more valuable in any way because of how much, how long or how frequently they masturbate. If you ejaculate too often, semen production will decrease. If you don't ejaculate frequently enough, semen volume will also decrease. If you want to improve semen production, experiment with finding your personal "just right."
4. Edge. I think there is also a point of diminishing returns with edging (again, more is not always better) so it's worth finding your personal "just right" with edging as well as ejaculation frequency. Your ideal session length may be 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 15 minutes, or more than two hours. Also, your perfect duration will vary from day to day as everything else fluctuates in your life, like sleep, hydration and ejaculation frequency.
5. Take time with the specifics that excite you. We are all wired a little differently, but I find that not focusing on continuous, persistent, direct stimulation of my penis improves my excitement and production of both semen and pre-ejaculate fluid. Through experimentation, I learned that focused stimulation of my nipples—while also staying aware of sensations in my untouched penis—increases my сum volume. For some this will be scrotum caressing or pulling, perineum, frenulum, or prostate stimulation. Give your penis regular breaks during masturbation but stay stimulated by arousing other parts of your body, paying attention to how your cock feels.
6. Regular Exercise. Never stop being active. Move your body every day for strength, flexibility and cardiac health. Ejaculations and orgasms don't happen somewhere separated from the rest of our bodies and health states. The healthier we are overall, the healthier our penises are.

I hope that helps. You're probably already aware of most if not all of these, but the last is the most important to me: Sex is part of life and our sexual health is just one component of our overall health.

Cheers,
Paul
