One more update: The `fediverse:creator` metatag is now inserted into game and blog post pages that you have authored when you assign a Mastodon username to your account.
This will enable itch.io link embeds on Mastodon to show author attribution of your fediverse account. Learn more here: https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2024/07/highlighting-journalism-on-mastodon/
You must opt-in to the domains that are eligible for attribution from Edit Profile > Public Profile > Verification (and scroll to the bottom, add itch.io and your own subdomain)
🔗 Seems like people are moving around between social media apps so new profile link options now available on your account settings page: You can set Bluesky, Mastodon, and Threads accounts by revealing the "More Links" section. All of these links will appear on your profile page.
Links added will have "rel=me" inserted on your profile so you can get a green check mark on your mastodon profile!
