Whether you are a complete newbie, just need it for your classes or simply want to install your favourite distro with other people, you're welcome to join us!

Due to the fact that many lectures require (or at least strongly benefit) from having a linux environment, we provide special help with setting up those specific environments. That being said, we are not directly involved with the various classes themselves, but students from STV ISO and ICE that just enjoy the linux operating system and want to help.

*we hope the lift will be operational again in time, since it's currently being fixed. If you require any accommodations or are unable to access the 2nd floor, please don't hesitate to contact us, even spontaneously. We will try our very best to find a way to make it work!

Would you like to talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly regarding your OS of choice, get some help with installing Linux or just want to see what this is all about? Then the Linux Couch is the right place for you!

We start at 16:00 on Thursday 28.01.2026 (Inffeldgasse 10. 2nd floor, left wing STV ICE) and will continue being there for a few hours (read: it's open end). So feel free to join us later if you can't make it earlier.

This month's meetup has no fixed topic, but we're more than happy to help if you require some assistance, or just simply want to meet other linux users.

We're again going on trip to the vineyard tavern (Buschenschank) Lazarus in St. Stefan ob Stainz 🍇

The ticket price is € 15,- including the bus trip, the meal (Brettljause) and a welcome glass of Sturm. Any other alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, desserts, etc., have to be paid at the venue.
