@jwz Me, imagining that there's a Federal regulation about wasp nest radiation levels, specifically.

@mattblaze I know that judges can sometimes dismiss charges with prejudice. I'm curious if that could happen in this case.

It's not exactly justice, but if a judge recognizes that there is a coercive aspect to what's happening, the judge also can't *force* DoJ to effectively prosecute the case.

This could be the closest thing to justice possible in our current moment.

This is the most delightfully nerdy thing I've ever seen:

Here’s another Biden accomplishment that won’t get any news attention which is a significant reason why we’re here.

The final rule will save Americans more than 50 million hours in wasted time in a year and $11 billion in money over the next decade.

Good luck getting anything like this out of Trump, or your third party vote for whoever.

@newstik "only those convicted"... that's simply not true, read the Wikipedia page on the pardon power, it cites the precedents.
Given the president-elect's stated intention to abuse the DoJ's power of investigation and prosecution to retaliate against and intimidate political enemies, I understand why he pardoned his son, even if I also find it problematic. But he really needs to extend the same protection to the many others who are likely to find themselves unfairly in the future administration's very powerful crosshairs.
