I’ve been busy. We are waiting on a regulator for the cooktop and then we can have the kitchen fully back. After that we finish the floor and rip out and redo the pantry - we are building pull outs to maximize the space available. We’ll order the wall cabinets next but they won’t be ready until March probably. It’s been a right pain in the ass but I already love it. We have so much more space, both for people and for things.
Remodel hell part abillionty five: counter is back on but the fucking wall is bowed. We need to change out the backsplash. Faucet got put back but something in it is broken so we had to buy a new one. Three trips to the hardware store today already. Beginning to contemplate arson again. I maintain its a valid remodel step. #Remodel #KitchenRemodel
I’ve been remiss posting here. My app is frustrating and doesn’t like to load. My kitchen is now in pieces, although I am happy to say all catastrophes this far have been averted and we won’t have to tear the house down to studs. Meanwhile I am finished with the edging on the Harry Potter blanket and I only have the interior seams to do, which I realized was the bass-ackward way to go about it.
Can I have my cake and meat it too??
Just finished reading Half anKing by Joe Abercrombie. I definitely recommend it, if any of you are open to taking recs from someone that lives in your pocket. #Books
I’m making a quilting frame today so I can finally quilt the Harry Potter blanket I crocheted and finish this project I’ve been working on for years. #Crochet #HarryPotter
I’m in the throes of renovation hell. We are redoing our kitchen, slowly, and are stuck on the step where we remove the old flooring. Because whoever put this floor down fucking *glued* every plank down. I suppose you could call it wood; there’s a veneer of wood on top of layers of cardboard. It takes a heat gun, a pry bar, and a hammer we named John Henry and an hour to get one row of planks up. I’m tempted to just burn the place down it is that frustrating.
#ProgressToot: Bandana Cowl #4 by Placematker in ShiBui Haven yarn. I am loving the yarn and I’ll be happy for the cowl but it’s boooring. #Knitting #KnittersOfMastodon #KnittersOfLSG
New project: a cowl in yarn I am sure is made from unicorn farts. ShiBui something, I’ll have to check if anyone wants to know. Edit: it’s ShiBui Haven, I bought it at Webs online. #KnittersOfMastodon #KnittersOfLSG #Knitting
