@kayeluvian 2/2 (In honesty, I don't like being called a bio f but accept and respect this being on the form as cultural progression and evolution - And to be fair, this setup has actually been on many application forms for decades with 'prefer not to say' now being changed to 'not specified').
My local trust is working hard to be respectful and inclusive of all and this is a time for learning. If you tell your local trust your concerns in an email, they usually evaluate and respond π§‘
@kayeluvian I think it is so they can address you respectfully in the correct manner? If it's a clinic, it's unlikely they will be accessing your medical records and just info relevant to the appointment (name, dob, dose administered, drug type and clinician)
As a learning moment, what process would you prefer to use to help nurses refer to you in the way you want to be referred to? Big love to you and thank you for bringing this issue to light π§‘
