Short version: I do VFX, I eat 納豆. Longer version: I am a compositing supervisor currently based in France. I like learning stuff and speaking languages.

So now after running PxF_NukeBench the numbers are even crazier. 66% average speed improvement on calculations, 21% on writes and 223% on reads. What a lovely day :)
Some time ago I finished Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee on the PSX.
I remember first playing it on my very first PC back in the day — impossibly difficult, yet so unique and fun that it buried itself into my memory for good. I probably managed 2–3 levels before giving up.
Now, as an adult, I finally played through the whole thing. It’s still hard, it’s loooong, at times impossibly frustrating but fun.
Honestly, use save states and protect your mental health :)
I just finished Chrono Trigger (#SNES).
Back in the day, one of my flatmates used to hype it up, but I never got around to playing it—until now.
What an absolute masterpiece. I nearly shed a tear at the ending.
Frog is the best character :)
I just finished Junji Ito’s Remina and am a little sad to report that it was not very good, in my opinion. I am accepting all the quirks of his style but still, some panels are outright uncomfortable to look at and hard to justify with any deeper message or mood building. The action gets really chaotic sometimes, and my smooth brain had a hard time following it.
I didn't see this when it first came out but google fonts website got a UI refresh and it's bafflingly useless. The old website was very logical and it was easy to explore and find new fonts. Here is what we are left with:
Some new Junji Ito added to my collection thanks to my lovely wife. Has to be noted that the albums published by Viz Media are such an amazing quality. #manga #horror
I found new love for my retro gaming handheld (Anbernic 351m) after discovering it can run PSX #emulation amazingly well. This is surprising since, for example n64 can have issues and slowdowns. So many great titles.
Have you ever heard of „Adventures of Lomax”? It’s a spin off of Lemmings games in a form of a 2d platformer. It’s one of the most amazingly animated games of its time, that holds up even today. I used to play the demo over and over again back in the 90s.
Another #game #review since I just finished Cocoon - a brainchild of gameplay designer for Limbo and Inside. What a fantastic game! Cute cicada-looking protagonist, beautiful, absolutely weird alien worlds, and isometric puzzle platformer where main dynamic is based around traveling inside and out of pocket dimensions. If any of that sounds like something you might enjoy I can’t recommend enough.
Just finished Planet of Lana and I really enjoyed it: casual and relaxing gameplay, beautiful visuals and music and the story is intriguing. There are moments when it’s feels a bit stretched out and repetitive but once the narrative picks up pace it’s great. #game #review
There’s a type of #nuke compositor who lays the most elaborate networks for mundane and basic operations. Instead of 10 nodes around the main B pipe he decides to spend time setting backdrops spread well beyond what’s reasonable. When I need to go in later to fix something I always think of the Planet factory scene from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy :D
