@snagburz Librewolf is great. I don't use it as my main browser since too many features of websites get disabled (admittedly, for good reason) without significant workarounds.
Things like getting Spotify Web to play music is tricky with Librewolf.
I use Firefox as my main browser, Brave if I need to use a Chromium-based browser, and then Librewolf for more sensitive tasks.
[Browsers]
On Linux/PC, I use Firefox. On Android, I use the Vanadium browser on my GrapheneOS phone, or the Brave browser. Firefox's Gecko Webview lacks per-site process isolation, which is a security risk, so as much as I love my Firefox on Linux, I don't use it on Android.
[Search engine]
I've been using DuckDuckGo for years, and it hasn't let me down. Its bang search is incredibly handy.
@lazylemur I'm a big fan of #Fastmail combined with my custom domain.
They have a catch-all alias system that allows me to create unique login addresses per each online service (ex: mastodon@..., lemmy@...), which significantly reduces my attack surface of data breaches while allowing me to check which services have leaked my email address, since I can check the TO field from any spam email addresses I get.
I also use Fastmail to store my CardDAV contacts that I sync to my phone via DAVx5.
@raptor85 Which de-googled ROM did you flash?
What was behind your choice to get a "dumbphone"? Less dependency on tech?
I use #GrapheneOS but I still use Shelter instead of user accounts to compartmentalize my apps/data.
The user accounts function of GOS is amazing, but sometimes I need to have data (ex: bank account number) to flow between my trusted apps (ex: Signal) and my proprietary apps (ex: banking app).
Shelter-based compartmentalization allows me to selectively share data across the my main profile and work profile, whereas there's no way to do so with user account-based division.
