Over the last two years I collected the IDs of a billion German Tweets and over the last few days the accounts and networks of nearly 700 k accounts who published at least 10 German Tweets. My initial plan was to use that for my thesis. Now, I will probably use it for my Leaving #Twitter Talk at #rp23.
I like algorithmic discovery but I would want freedom to adjust the algorithm with a few dials — in part for my own sake and in part so masses of ppl don't end up synchronized in that stultifying way.

The Twitter algorithm dropped yesterday, and now it’s time to reverse-engineer. @igor and I are starting to make sense of what’s actually been released, how it compares to what the prod codebase might be and giving the released code some context.
