Ted UnderwoodOne of the things I do appreciate about the non-algorithmic character of this site is that it clears your head from nonsense ppl are required to take seriously when all synchronized by an algorithm. For instance, my Twitter TL is 65% discussion of AGI-doom right now, and since I don't even think that's worth arguing about, it gets rather boring.
I like algorithmic discovery but I would want freedom to adjust the algorithm with a few dials — in part for my own sake and in part so masses of ppl don't end up synchronized in that stultifying way.
Andy Famiglietti@TedUnderwood I feel like client side algorithmic filtering ought to be possible with current light weight models, but I should resist my impulse to go entirely down the rabbit hole of figuring that out
