Being an open source software developer is like:
[Writes a new feature]
“Omg you never fix bugs! Clearly not a serious project.”
[Fixes bugs]
“Omg dead project. No new features boring”
[Tries to raise funds]
“Wow greedy! If you wanted to make money get a job”
And you just do this forever because there’s probably something wrong with you
A really annoying thing that absolutely needs to stop:
- "More info in the discord!" / "Changelog in the Discord!"
STOP THAT.
Discord is a closed, proprietary platform. Post your stuff on the actual open web where more people will see it.
1. Meta/Facebook has a horrific track record on human rights:

2. Meta/Facebook is trying to join the Fediverse. We need to defederate them.
3. If you're a server admin, please defederate Meta's domain "threads.net" (here's how on Mastodon https://fedi.tips/how-to-defederate-fediblock-a-server-on-mastodon/)
4. If you don't run your own server, please ask your server admin to defederate "threads.net". Your admin is listed on your server website's About page.
