The Removed DOGE Deposition Videos Have Already Been Backed Up Across the Internet. Judged ordered them removed from the internet on Friday. #USPol #DOGE (Links to download below from IA)

The videos included DOGE members unable or unwilling to define DEI; discussing how they used ChatGPT and terms such as “black” and “homosexual” to flag grants for termination but not “white” or “caucasian.”

The Removed DOGE Deposition Videos Have Already Been Backed Up Across the Internet

On Friday, a judge ordered those who uploaded the videos to YouTube to remove them. By Saturday, a backup of the videos was available online as a torrent and on the Internet Archive.

If there was any lesson we failed to learn from cartoons growing up, it came from Scooby Doo, where they tried to warn us that the villain is always a rich old white guy who wants to illegally and unethically acquire more money than he needs.

I love my ad-blockers 🥰

Proton¹ VPN blocks most of the ads I get served, and the ones that get through are caught by AdNauseam² (which silently clicks ads in the background, costing marketing $ and poisoning metrics).

I've wasted $800+ of marketing budget³ in the last few months—for ads I never saw.

Fuck you in particular, Amazon.

Edit:

Reply-guy credentials: I've been the CDO and head of business analytics at several tech companies, and I have at least some idea how my job works.

¹ Yes, Proton has some serious issues, but I still think it works better than most other solutions when you factor in the ease of setup & operation across multiple products.

² Ad Nauseam uses uBlock Origin.

³ It wastes the company's marketing budget (high- click-through, zero sales), which lowers how much advertising platforms can charge for their services, which hurts those platforms too in the long run.

★ If your reply boils down to "it's useless to do anything, because ____", then 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't know what to fucking tell ya; roll over.

Reddit seems to have deleted a post with 7400 upvotes and the title:

"I traced $2B in grants and 45 states' lobbying behind age‑verification bills"

.... US Corpos do not want us to see this but luckily we still have this github repo.

Here the relevant reddit post that was removed:

True!

i really dug this paragraph in @pluralistic 's latest treatise on AI:

"There's a different advantage to confining your concerns to imaginary things: imaginary things don't exist, so they don't contest your public statements about them, nor do they make demands on you. Think of how the right concerns itself with imaginary children (unborn babies, children in Wayfair furniture; children in nonexistent pizza parlor basements, children undergoing gender confirmation surgery). These are very convenient children to advocate for, since, unlike real children (hungry children, children killed in the Gaza genocide, children whose parents have been kidnapped by ICE, children whom Matt Goetz and Donald Trump trafficked for sex, children in cages at the US border, trans kids driven to self-harm and suicide after being denied care), nonexistent children don't want anything from you and they never make public pronouncements about whether you have their best interests at heart."

No idea wtf this is but I love it.

@smallcircles More like a train station or airport. I'm passing through and see many other people I wouldn't otherwise. Some people spend much more time here than others and it shows.
@Gargron No. I won't support organic farming. It takes more land, more water, and more pesticide than conventional farming for the same yield. Just wasteful and woo.
