I did my PhD in theoretical computer science about the relationship between real-world networks and an underlying hyperbolic geometry.
Apart from that Iām also interested in all things iOS and neovim.

@stroughtonsmith Ah, apparently I can answer my own question: Someone did ask about that in the comments and Brian confirmed that it only connects to MacBooks with Apple Silicon and not to Macs.
Unfortunately, that immediately reduces my interest in the product significantly. I'm absolutely happy with my M1 Mac Mini and don't want to by a MacBook in addition to AVP, nor do I want to use AVP without access to my Mac.
Wonder if that will be lifted at some point but so far that's disappointing.
The very first citation in this stupid letter, https://futureoflife.org/open-letter/pause-giant-ai-experiments/, is to our #StochasticParrots Paper,
"AI systems with human-competitive intelligence can pose profound risks to society and humanity, as shown by extensive research[1]"
EXCEPT
that one of the main points we make in the paper is that one of the biggest harms of large language models, is caused by CLAIMING that LLMs have "human-competitive intelligence."
They basically say the opposite of what we say and cite our paper?
Finally, a new version!
This one has lots of stuff in it. I'm not going to be adding any more features now before the 1.0 release, and just focus on bugfixing and some minor polish for a little while.
I feel like C++ makes it way easier to write performant code than Swift.
I mean Swift is supposed to be very performant (and no doubt is a powerful language) but there is a notable difference to C++, performance-wise.
