iOS developer, recovering boss.
@aaron_pearce Is that on an XDR? I constantly feel like the phone is gonna fall off.
In my experience, DTS mostly rules. Sometimes they kick me back to Radar if it a a bug but I’ve had them directly act as ambassadors to specific engineering teams on complicated issues.
I’m sort of fascinated to see how few of my fellow devs use their TSIs. Those things are gold which is especially more perplexing when I hear how frustrated devs are with specific issues they hit. Use your incidents - that’s what they’re for.
So what’s the story where you expand a post that Ivory shows has a bunch of replies but it just spins and then nothing?
@marioguzman Don’t think you can get rid of it without inspecting the underlying hierarchy and spelunking. This came up in at least one of the recent dev Slack convos and they suggested filing feedback with the use case. Seems obvious but I guess still worth doing.
Doing some updates on an iPad app from 2011-ish. The amount of code I’m deleting and replacing with 5% of the SwiftUI… pretty awesome.
@khaost @snazzyq I seem to be one of the unicorns that updated immediately and since then everything is… literally… snappier.
@film_girl I fucking hate it when this happens, with the fury of a thousand suns.
@matt1corey They didn’t straight up say it was a bug but basically did.
@matt1corey Using the new Transferable stuff with CloudKit… works the first time you start a share but if you edit a share, it just spins forever.
