The onsite show on Friday night is a swing band. We are familiar with the classic swing bands like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Cherry Poppin' Daddies but the band advertises that they play people named Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, and Ella Fitzgerald. Must be new. I wonder what they sound like?

@GeePawHill Billboard didn't list it (because I am, of course, the kind of person that would look it up). But then Billboard suggests that his cover of Crying - which I also don't recall - was a bigger song for him than Vincent.
Seems to be on hist regular set list though so I must have heard it hen we saw him a few years ago.

@GeePawHill The Maltese Falcon (Bogie IS Sam Spade), MASH (the movie is so much more than the book), and Cuckoo's Nest (they told the story from a different point of view).
@GeePawHill Like the socks, the suspenders aren't the affectation - it's the way they are worn.
I've been wearing them for 20 years or more to keep my pants up too.
The bow ties were an affectation.
So are my Grateful Dead handkerchiefs.
So is wearing my Miles Davis tee shirt every time I went to the jazz club.
@GeePawHill Having moved, we were going on our first play-date. The east coast is notoriously more dressy than Colorado so I was unsure whether to dress cas or nice. In my case, that means whether the suspenders are worn inside or outside the outer shirt. I dressed nice. I was over-dressed ;-)
