A San Francisco culture podcast featuring celebrity guests, non-celebrity guests, personalities from the San Francisco Chronicle and a celebration of Bay Area life. Hosted by culture critic Peter Hartlaub and columnist Heather Knight and recorded on the streets, hilltops, parks and landmarks of San Francisco. The pair's focus on the whimsy and wonder of San Francisco began in 2018 when they rode every bus, train, cable car and street car in the city in one day. They believe in highlighting the eccentric characters, independent bookstores, burger joints and bars that make the bay so great.
article from @heatherknight on some of the upcoming light shows in SF, I always enjoy these. I saw them testing the Fairmont to Grace Cathedral one a while back.
Shocking article https://www.sfchronicle.com/sf/bayarea/heatherknight/article/city-politics-democrat-18073621.php
The whole school board debacle was revealing (to me) in terms of how a small group of ideologically pure Democrats manage participation (with demonstrably destructive outcomes at least in the case of the school district). This is why I won't touch a candidate promoted by the democratic central committee, even though I vote reliably Democrat. Props to @heatherknight for covering this.
Do you subscribe to my #TotalSF podcast with Peter Hartlaub yet? You should! New, fun episodes every Friday that will make you love San Francisco a little bit more. For today, we ventured to SFMOMA to chat with chief curator Janet Bishop about art, history and soapbox derbies. 🎨🎭🖌️ https://www.sfchronicle.com/podcasts/article/secrets-san-francisco-museum-modern-art-18079987.php
