Goooooood morning from Caltrain! I dropped off my ballot yesterday, and you’d better believe I voted Yes on K! 🚶‍♂️🚲😀
Voted! If you’re in SF, I recommend Ruth Ferguson for CCSF Trustee!
“In many San Francisco neighborhoods, given the scarcity of parking control officers that we have faced for several years, there are people who think that the rules don’t exist,” Tumlin said during Tuesday’s SFMTA Board of Directors meeting. “We want to get the word out that we are finally able to start enforcing the rules.” https://sfstandard.com/2024/04/17/san-francisco-intensive-parking-enforcement/

Please sign the petition below to close the intersection of West Portal Avenue and Ulloa Street to car traffic and make the area safe for people while making public transportation faster and more reliable.

Close the intersection of West Portal and Ulloa to car traffic and install Transit-Only Lanes

The intersection of West Portal Avenue and Ulloa Streets is dangerously designed and, with its numerous Muni stops and large number of people walking and biking through the area, it should be closed to car traffic to make the area safe for people, especially children, seniors, and people with disabilities who often use walk and public transportation as well as visit nearby the Public Library’s West Portal branch, West Portal Playground, and shops along West Portal Avenue. On March 16, 2024, two people — including a child — were killed and two people were injured when a driver crashed a car near this intersection. Closing this intersection to cars and installing Transit-Only Lanes will instantly make it safer for people, including people who need to drive or use cars, in addition to improving the speed and reliability of public transportation to and from West Portal. Please sign the petition now by filling out the form and tapping ‘start writing’. You can make a difference and help make this intersection and the surrounding area safe by signing the petition now.
