I had this idea that it would be hilarious to make sexy Mouth of Sauron and as usual I did too much but I love it. I drafted the corset and the cloak patterns, I 3d printed the crown and sword. I made all the under layers and I bought the boots secondhand. #sewing #costume #lotr #mouthofsauron

Mental health is doing great why do you ask

Here’s my black sundress! I made it in black cotton swiss dot, lined in black lawn. I used Domum’s Circle dress pattern, but I did 4 muslins to get the fit right. The muslin here was as drafted before adjustments - I did an fba, changed the angle of the shoulders, and did a full bodice lining instead of binding. I also changed the pockets to be waist anchored. I also shortened it, though that was purely because I ran out of fabric. #Sewing @sewing

Hi mastodon it was bleak here and i was depressed and without real childcare so I haven’t been here but I still don’t have a home on the internet. I did get a 3d printer and my current mental health lever is making myself every crown I’ve ever wanted.

@sewing finally done with the commission I did for a friend’s daughter who is 6’1”. She picked the fabric and the style, so we landed on an all in one sleeve and a full circle skirt. I bias bound the hem (after letting it rest for days) and I’m so thrilled with how it came out.

The giant #Sewing project I’ve been working on is a pollination project for the kid’s preschool. Bee and flower - with transferable pompom pollen. The bee wings are separate for independent use. There’s actually 2 complete sets, fully washable.

Continuing my project of learning to make my own lingerie. Today my #Sewing #SewingLingerie project was 2 pairs of bralettes and matching underwear. I plan to make an underwire bra too to match but I’m working my way up to those.

@sewing My #WeekendSewingClub #sewing project has been to continue my lingerie learning. A sheer Sahaara bra with some nice materials from Bra Builders. It is with no pleasure that I report that nice foldover elastic is way easier to work with than the stuff I had from Amazon. Also my bra ham arrived!
