I have a few Canon EF lenses from 20 years ago (jailbroken 300d!). Should I get a used body to make use of them again? Which? Don’t want to spend a lot, but also don’t need bells and whistles.

Today we’re quietly (and finally!) opening up Railfinder to the public! This is our beta version and - hopefully - the first step towards that one booking site for trains across Europe that we all dream of.

Tochter aus Prag zurück. Auf der Hinfahrt war es "Europa", sie sind eingereist mit dem Flixbus, keine Kontrolle, nichts. Auf dem Rückweg hat Dobrindts (und #CxU, #grAFD) Vorstellung von einem vereinten Europa die Einreise um 30 Minuten verzögert, weil eine Mitschülerin nur einen abgelaufenen deutschen Perso, aber einen gültigen ukrainischen Reisepass dabei hatte, und die einzige Schülerin mit Politik Patches an der Kleidung, wurde nach Drogen befragt. Das ist dieses vor bösen Menschen schützen!

@anhdo Hi! It looks like Pins is not available on the German app store anymore, is that on purpose? I paid for the all-features unlock not even a year ago, would be a bummer if I couldn't access it anymore.

I need to be very clear, that the push towards "vibe coding" - that is, deliberately deskilling people - is because AI code assistants are an (increasingly expensive) subscription service.

If you know how to code, you can just write Python, C, Java, R, PHP, whatever for free and make things. You may not own the tools of production, but at least you're not renting them.

If you have been deskilled so you only know how to vibe code, you will be paying for that privilege forever.

This also goes, by the way, for researchers who are starting to be convinced they don't need to learn how to be scientists anymore, because "the AI" can just do the science for them. Nope.
