If you have an Intel Raptor Lake system and you're in the northern hemisphere, chances are that your machine is crashing more often because of the summer heat. I know because I can literally see which EU countries have been affected by heat waves by looking at the locales of Firefox crash reports coming from Raptor Lake systems.
One of the many and seemingly constant battles I face in my career: you don't design generic, reusable components. Instead, you extract them from working software where they have proven their applicability.
If your company benefits from cURL (trust me, it does) you can support its ongoing maintenance by sponsoring the lead developer's new laptop https://daniel.haxx.se/blog/2025/07/12/sponsor-my-laptop/
Sponsor my laptop!

I need to get myself a new laptop. My existing one is from 2017 and was already then not the most powerful one. It recently started to shut itself off when running on battery and during the two most recent curl up meetings it has proven itself to be rather sluggish and unable to save … Continue reading Sponsor my laptop! →

Functions of the same crisis. Can't pass the test without being tested, The future awaits and we, as a species, will get exactly what we deserve.
Its fair to blame our predicament on the few at the top. But they got there because we, as a species, let them.
We abdicated our joint responsibility for the sake of convenience. Maybe we didn't realise because we were mislead, maybe we changed out minds when we grew up and realised, but by then it was too late.
@SrRochardBunson Yup Yup and again Yup but I refuse to stay silent

@Robo105 the one thing I know for sure is that we can't and won't stay silent.

Silence is complicity & complicity is guilt.

@SrRochardBunson That's a Schrödinger's something. Please don't collapse!

Who was it who led the realist chant:
“The People United will sometimes win and sometimes lose!” 🪧
@SrRochardBunson Yeah. So, I kind of collected all the important intel on this. And WW3 is the most likely outcome now. Best case scenario a cold war 2.0. Not looking like it. Probably worth looking for a farm to work on.
@SrRochardBunson Both are true: a better world is possible but, for the time being, we're so fucked.

@iviyohane 🎯 I can't argue with that.

Time to start building that better world, from the ground up. Local as shit.
