An observation about Tweeterville.
Today, I signed on with a new account just so I could grab my soon to be fully deleted (after waiting 30 days) old CoffeeGeek account name so someone else doesn't take it over for bad purposes.
In the new account I set up, I followed only 5 accounts, because when you sign up, you're forced to follow accounts. They are all coffee related.
When I scrolled through the 'for you" feed, the vast majority of it is
a) right wing propaganda,
b) pro Trump things
c) pro Elon things
d) hateful commentary on Biden and Harris
e) an extreme amount of hate for Paris and the Olympics because transgender folks were part of the opening ceremony.
f) anti Trudeau commentary (I guess because it knows I'm in Canada).
This is what all new signups on ElonVille apparently see when they create a new account. Very disturbing and disgusting. This is the algorithm Elon forces on all new signups, apparently.
Everyone needs to leave that platform.
A request/reminder for those of you posting about politics, for example (but not limited to) the upcoming USA presidential election.
Please apply a content warning to your posts, e.g. "uspol" or "USA politics"
Things that don't need a warning: reminders/instructions on how to vote, register, request postal vote, etc.
Things that do: anything about a specific candidate or party.
