@caseyliss maybe silly of me but I've been meaning to snag a trmnl but have been waiting since you mentioned they are going to be an upcoming sponsor. Looks like they're back ordered a bit now anyways but wondering if you could drop any timing hints!
Once again: we’re allowed to be fucking heartbroken and angry. I’m not saying that we can be mad forever. I’m saying we’re allowed to be angry and sad today. All this “now it’s time to work” bullshit is just that. Bullshit. People are allowed to feel what they feel. And be fucking honest: the work wasn’t enough this time. At all. At all.
i made a separate candy bowl for my (sicko) friends who like whoppers
@overcastfm I might've debugged this. I'm 90% sure it has something to do with buffering. If I cast it and then just let it sit and continue playing eventually it'll come through the speaker (albeit I'll have missed all audio in the mean time).
@overcastfm I don't know if it's just me but AirPlay has been super broken for me. Music app streams fine to both HomePod and Sonos speakers but overcast always hangs. Most of the time it'll say it's playing but no audio comes out. Anything I can try on my end?
I wish we could say "well, at least the DX is amazing and we can work so much faster" but that's laughable. Have you tried configuring a new project these days? Headache after headache.
A whole new generation of web developers think that you need to use React (or insert framework here) to make websites and that makes me sad.
My favorite part about logging into mastodon is getting to answer @b0rk's polls.
Unsurprisingly there are a few asinine replies to this that only further Jen's point. https://front-end.social/@jensimmons/112475155073234864

Are you a man who works in tech, writing code for a living? Do you work with women who do the same? Then you absolutely are at high risk of always assuming their code isn’t good enough… that you know more than they do, even when it’s their area of experience, even when they have years more experience than you do. Unless you are working to explicitly remove the sexism assumptions our society has drilled into you, you are also being sexist. That’s how culture works. Please stop. Be introspective.
