@ihorner That's some excellent maillards there! I can just hear the crunch.
@ihorner Homemade stock is such a life changer in cooking. I still use stock cubes most of the time, but a veloute made from actual chicken stock is noticeably richer and creamier.

@ihorner Ooooh, that one looks Nice! I love Tantanmen, don't make it often but found a place near my practice that serves it: I sometimes manage to go for lunch (quiet days are a rare treat, but they do happen).
@ihorner breakfast or dinner? It's been a while since I made japanese breakfast. We tend to have it for dinner instead. I've never actually tried natto, not sure I can source it here and I've certainly never tried making it.
@ihorner That looks rather succulent for a lazy macaroni. Is that blue cheese I spot, or just herbs/veggies? Our own dinner was in the same ballpark; carbonara (picture from previous version)
