@NathanJay Le Mans is an amazing experience. I've only ever been as a marshal, it's a massive privilege to be there and the night shifts are just incredible. Not every post is so close to the track - we're after the kink at the start of the Mulsanne.
Top of post Vmax is about 140-150mph. Bottom of post, 700m later, Vmax is over 200mph for the hypercars.
If you get a chance - go!
@NathanJay @SwiftOnSecurity I was marshalling that one. That car sounded *amazing*, especially at night. Especially when they're approaching 200mph about 5m from you. Properly trouser flappingly loud.
Previously the Corvettes were the loudest ones, but not in '23.

@matt303 I just use mine to pick up the few remaining non encrypted (MotoTRBO etc) channels at race circuits. Always useful to be able to hear the other channels, especially when you're in a pair of cans dedicated to one and one only.
Oh, actually - also for the live commentary, because we don't always get that.
