@overcastfm did something change in the smart speed algorithm when music is playing in a podcast? I don’t know if it is just in my head, but it feels like musical intros are slower speed than I recall.
@caseyliss in the wild!! Coworker has it on, did a double-take at the logo, a delightful moment of serendipity.

@counternotions looks like the EU commission needs to open a new investigation into Apple’s conduct. https://mastodon.social/@arstechnica/112554201831424970
@caseyliss about couches; they’re pricey and have a long lead time but I’ve never been on one as comfortable as the Crate & Barrel one we have now (older model from the Axis line).
@marcoarment loved that Sierra Hull clip; have you discovered Billy Strings?
@caseyliss if you’re doing salads on the regular, I can highly recommend the salad chopping bowl and chopper (looks like a pair of pizza cutter disc an inch or so apart)
@atpfm @gruber would y’all consider putting out a list of accessories to support the USB-C only lifestyle? Search by Amazon is a… minefield
@caseyliss with single HDDs the size/cost they are now, what advantages does a Synology offer that a Mac Mini with with a few drives hanging off of it doesn’t cover? The value proposition was very clear when you needed to RAID a bunch of 1/2ish TB drives together, but with externals casually available in the 16TB+ range, has that equation changed?
