Hot take: Dan Bongino is quitting the FBI to return to podcasting because every day he goes to work he's confronted with the fact he's an incompetent lout, the dumbest person in any given room; but by returning to the shameless lying meathead huckster shtick that he pioneered, and thanks to Zuck putting a foot on the scales, he'll be back to the top of Facebook impressions on day one.

Solar was the leading source of electricity in the EU last month, says report | CBC News

Coal generation fell to a record low during June 2025, and experts say that the EU's power system is changing. The picture is very different in Canada, where solar is still a small share of total electricity generation.

I’ve launched the standalone site for purchasing Six Centuries of Type & Printing, a cloth-bound hardcover book, which is paired with the ebook edition. You can also buy the ebook by itself, snag the unabridged audio edition, and add letterpress-printed bookmarks. (Digital and physical items ship around July 20.) https://sixcent.info/

@lapcatsoftware My favorite tiny museum in London is the Brunel Museum, which has a decent, small collection and low entry price, but they also let you into the former borehead for the first tunnel under the Thames! The tunnel is still in use !!, but you can walk down a spiral staircase to the capped bottom.
@lapcatsoftware That is a pretty big airport!
@lapcatsoftware I sometimes go through Milwaukee on route to the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in Two Rivers, but the mustard museum may be too far out of the way.
@lapcatsoftware I relish these sorts of places!
I like to travel during the slow seasons and find the most obscure or weird museums. https://mastodon.world/@exchgr/114836328452071011

“Much like I don’t understand the heart of a wave, I do not understand the hearts of those who come to Japan to buy a Rimowa suitcase. (Quite frankly, it really freaks me out!) And it is not our job to understand.” https://craigmod.com/ridgeline/210/

@ethanschoonover sorry you are having an 8 but I have experienced a 10, which seems impossible on that scale, but I was there for it.
I’d also imagine European soldiers are better fed and trained and their tanks and munitions aren’t moldering https://defenseofliberty.social/@MalcolmNance/114835568694255105

Attached: 1 image WHO’S WINNING? #Putin's vaunted summer offensive has failed. #Russia’s war aims are unachievable, and the loss rate is unsustainable. A battalion of Russian troops and two battalions of artillery are lost every day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. #UkraineWillWin #SlavaUkraini #RussiaIsATerroristState

US legislation is ridiculous.
@jacobtlevy.bsky.social You don't like this bill because it would hurt your constituents? No problem, we'll make a special exception just for them!
