πŸ“£ Yesterday was the first day of the FHI Poster Week @fhi_mpg_de and our Department was the first one up!

The floor was buzzing with engaging scientific discussions, friendly faces, and overall a warm atmosphere. It was a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, learn from each other, and enjoy some delicious cake and coffee.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made it a success! Here's to more inspiring events like this. πŸ§ β˜•πŸ°

πŸŽ‰πŸŽ Let the festivities begin!
Today marks the start of #Carnival, a time for vibrant costumes, lively parades, and joyous celebrations.
Although we are not dancing in the streets or enjoying the spectacle from afar, we still embrace the spirit of fun and freedom together with our very own parade! 🎊πŸ₯³

Happy Carnival! πŸŽπŸŽ‰

πŸ‘‹ Today we welcome DamiΓ‘n BalΓ‘ΕΎ, who is starting as #PhD student in Hendrik Heenen's group. DamiΓ‘n received his #Master Degree in Nanoscience from the University of TΓΌbingen @unituebingen.

Here, he will be focusing on #machinelearning assisted analysis of Raman and electron microscopy data to monitor synthesis of novel 2D materials.

When he is not in the office, you can find DamiΓ‘n doing any kind of sport or making music! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ 🎡

Welcome DamiΓ‘n!
