👋 Today we welcome Damián Baláž, who is starting as #PhD student in Hendrik Heenen's group. Damián received his #Master Degree in Nanoscience from the University of Tübingen @unituebingen.

Here, he will be focusing on #machinelearning assisted analysis of Raman and electron microscopy data to monitor synthesis of novel 2D materials.

When he is not in the office, you can find Damián doing any kind of sport or making music! 🏃‍♂️ 🎵
