OpenAI, manufacturers of ChatGPT (which drives Bing's addled outputs), writes that they are creating the precursor of artificial general intelligence (AGI). They define AGI as "highly autonomous systems that outperform humans at most economically valuable work." So I guess that means AGI will replace only the highest-paid workers, like VCs and tech execs.
