In the West Bank village of Taibeh, the only entirely Christian Palestinian village, Israeli settlers reportedly set fire to St. George's Church and the adjacent Christian cemetery.
The incident comes amid a broader wave of settler violence in the West Bank. Villages such as Ein Samia and Kufr Malik have faced arson attacks targeting homes, vehicles, and farmland. At the end of June, four young Palestinians were killed while resisting settler raids.

Fuel is the backbone of survival in Gaza. It powers hospitals, water systems, sanitation networks, ambulances, and every aspect of humanitarian operations. Fuel supplies are needed to move the fleet used for transporting essential goods across the Strip and to operate a network of bakeries producing fresh bread for the affected population. Without fuel, these lifelines will vanish for 2.1 million people.

Just after the Gaza ceasefire came into effect on 19 January 2025, Israeli forces launched on 21 January a major militarized operation in the West Bank, dubbed “Iron Wall”. The operation began in Jenin, but soon expanded across the northern West Bank, with the refugee camps of Jenin, Tulkarm and Nur Shams being at the centre of operations. Since its start, the operation has entailed helicopter gunfire, airstrikes, ground force operations and the deployment of tanks for the first time since the early 2000s. Tens of thousands of camp residents have been forcibly displaced and UNRWA has been forced to fully suspend services. In Tubas governorate, an operation was carried out between 2 and 12 February and was concentrated in Tammun town and El Fara’a refugee camp.
